The soccer season is wrapping up and champions are being crowned. An amazing season full of twists and drama have made the 25/26 year entertaining. We start in Spain where the Laliga winners are Barcelona. It was a competitive battle between Real Madrid and the champions until a decisive win in the El Clasico, the biggest rivalry in soccer.Â
We head to Italy with the new champions, Inter Milan. They had a well deserved win, as they were the Champions League finalists, domestic cup finalists, and finished 2nd place in the Serie A last year. The former title winners, Napoli, had a close runner up finish. The next big 5 league is Ligue 1 in France with the obvious winners, PSG. They had a pretty tough battle with RC Lens until the 30th matchweek, when PSG pulled away.Â
The last two leagues are the Bundesliga and the Premier League. The winner of the Bundesliga is, of course, Bayern Munich who win nearly each season. And finally, the Premier League. The title champions have not been decided at this current time but Arsenal is leading the league. Man City is right behind their backs only two points behind. The last matchweek on Sunday will decide who lifts the Premier League trophy.
A few European finals are coming up, such as the Conference League Final, the Europa League Final, and the awaited Champions League Final. The matchups for those games are Crystal Palace vs. Rayo Vallecano, Freiburg vs Aston Villa, and the main event, PSG vs Arsenal. As the season ends the break the players will get will be short as the World Cup is this year. It starts this summer with the first match on June 11th. The world’s most watched sporting event, the World Cup Final will be on July 19th.Â
