The groups for the long awaited 2026 World Cup have been decided. With 48 different countries and 42 teams already qualified, the other 6 spots will be fought for in the playoffs. The World Cup has gotten much bigger with an extra 16 teams now playing, larger than ever before. There has been much controversy around the draw due to the new award of the FIFA “Peace Prize.” No fan has voted for this award and it is questioned why it has been created. It was given to Donald Trump by Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, likely to increase bonds since the World Cup is being hosted in the U.S. Now, the actual important part of the draw, the groups.
