  • 4 Yellow Russet Potatoes
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/2 to 1 Cup Milk (To make creamy)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste (I use about 1/3 Tsp. Salt and 1/4 Tsp. Pepper)

  1. Peel the potatoes and then boil them until a fork can easily slide into them (usually about 25 minutes). Place the potatoes in a bowl and then mash (an automatic mixer will work too).
  2. Peel and mince garlic. Lightly melt the butter in a pan, then add the garlic, and heat until you can smell it. Be careful not to burn the butter or the garlic by cooking it too hot or too long. The total cooking time should be around 5-7 minutes. As soon as this mixture is lightly cooked, pour in the mashed potatoes and mix them in thoroughly.
  3. Integrate the milk into the mix. Add enough milk to make the potatoes creamy, but make it to your preference.
  4. Add in salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Sample often… You deserve it… You made em’… Darn it.
