Walking Rainbow Water Experiment

November 14, 2021
WARNING: Make sure to do the following project with a parent for extra precaution.
Materials:
- 6 identical cups (Make sure they are clear, glass or clear plastic, so you can see the water height through the jar.)
- Paper towels
- Food coloring
Instructions:
- Fill 3 of the cups with water about ¾ full
- Add a few drops of the food coloring and then stir. If you want the rainbow effect, you can use red, yellow, and blue.
- Place the three other empty cups in between the cups filled with water.
- Fold the paper towel taco style until it’s about 1 inch wide.
- Put one end of the paper towel in a cup with colored water, and put the other end in the empty cups next to it. Tip: You might want to trim your paper towel if it’s sticking up in the air too much.
- Watch it and have fun!
