Calador Fire Spreading to Lake Tahoe

”It was a moment officials hoped would never come, the mass evacuation of South Lake Tahoe in the face of a rapidly approaching wildfire”. The Calador fire has been active for 16 days straight and has covered over 186,568 acres of land from August 14th at 6:54 PM and was last updated August 30th at 8:47 PM. The Caldor fire is 15% contained and the cause is unknown. The location of this fire has taken place to the East of Omo Ranch and South of the community of Grizzly Flats. There has been a mass amount of road closures and evacuation warnings like Highway 50 is closed in both directions, Elks Club at Highway 50, Pioneer Trail at Elks Club and so many more road closures. For evacuation warnings North of Slab Creek, the area from Sawmill Road at Lake Tahoe Blvd, Southwest of Bucks Bar Road to Ladies Valley Road, East of Mt Aukum Road and so much more have been evacuated.
