Poets Words

Reese Watson, Reporter

As the wind blows through the trees,

And the leaves rustle,

I feel a calm wash over me.

It soothes all my worries,

Flows through my bones,

And makes me feel lighter inside.

A wonderful time,

Full of joy,

And trust.

And of course,

You can’t forget the abundance of food,

That your mom spends all day in the kitchen cooking,

Just for you and your family,

To devour the meal in minutes.

And so,

As the wind blows on,

And our families grow closer,

We remember,

That family is most important.
