The Premier League has started! Many new faces have appeared, and some have departed. We’re 2 weeks in and there have been some surprises already.
Transfers:
One very prominent player has left Manchester City, Kevin De Bruyne, who was one of the greatest midfielders in the world. He left to join AC Milan after 10 years at City. He won 19 major trophies including 6 titles and a Champions League trophy, playing 400 games for them. Another very famous midfielder has joined the club Liverpool for a transfer of £115 million. Florian Wirtz is an attacking midfielder who came from a German club. He scored 11 goals and 11 assists in a total of 32 games. A record breaking fee of £120 million for the striker, Alexander Isak, from Newcastle to Liverpool. This is crucial for Liverpool, since they don’t currently have a good striker. Arsenal have also signed a striker and midfielder. Viktor Gyokeres scored the most goals last season and went for £60 million. This is such an important signing since their striker is injured. As well as Eberechi Eze for £62 million who is going to replace the weak left wing position and the attacking midfield.
