Trump has announced a 100% tariff on foreign imported movies. He claims “We want movies made in America, again!” He issued this to save “dying Hollywood.” He wants to bring it back stronger than ever. It is unknown if it will just apply to movies in theatres or streaming as well. Many well-known companies such as Walt-Disney, Warner Bros, Paramount and Universal Pictures film abroad. It is common for film-makers to travel to different countries to lower the cost of production. But now that this method has been blocked by Trump, film-makers are forced to create the movie mainly in the States.
