As you may know, the month of November holds the beloved Thanksgiving break and of course, thanksgiving itself! Although the holiday of Thanksgiving has an unfair history, it’s our job to recognize, understand, and acknowledge it. (Learn more about the past of thanksgiving in “True history of thanksgiving” dragon spectrum article). So considering all of that, it’s especially important to remember what we are thankful for and how those things affect our life. That’s the question for this month’s Interview with a few:
“What is something you are thankful for and how does it help you in your daily life?
Walker Faust 6th grade –
“I’m Thankful for my parents because they give me hot food every day and they give me love. They get me through the day in a good mood so I can be kind to people!”
Lucy Atherton 7th grade –
“I am thankful for my friends and they help me in my daily life by supporting me and always encouraging me to do what scares me, so that I can get over my fears. All my friends play a big part in my life and I am very thankful to have each and everyone of them.”
Aubrey Goldberger 8th grade –
“I am grateful for sports and it helps me in my daily life by keeping me happy and healthy and I’m also grateful for food because it also makes me happy.”
Although November is the month of “being grateful” it’s very important to remember and appreciate what we are thankful for all the time, not just because thanksgiving is coming around. So in conclusion please go hug your loved ones, take some time to just sit and appreciate what’s around you, especially take some time to appreciate yourself, and enjoy the moment.
