As the school year begins to roll, there are many things to be nervous and excited about. Every year is different in middle school so here are little pieces of opinion about what they are excited, nervous, and everything in between from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. 

Reese Larson (6th grade) – 

“I’m excited for dances and Pingree Park.” Reese says she’s gotten the feel of the flow of sixth grade but she would prefer to go back to elementary school. 

Sabina Reid (7th grade) – 

Sabina moved here from New Zealand and is excited for a smaller school. She says Flagstaff seemed like a better option than other schools in the area as it is less crowded and she enjoyed the small school atmosphere in New Zealand. “I’m Nervous about homework because I have sports after school”

Isaac Vercammen (8th grade) – 

“I’m excited for school basketball and Sky Ranch.” Isaac thinks 8th grade is more fun because he’s not so young and can do more things that he couldn’t in 6th grade. “Time flew by” 

As Isaac said, time really flew by these past couple years so just some advice from the 8th graders, enjoy where you are at right now, have something to look forward to but don’t forget that living in the moment is the most impotent thing you can do.
