My Opinion
Here’s my opinion on this book and the Hunger Games series. I loved the first Hunger Games book, the plot was amazing and it was skillfully written. In my opinion, this is where it started to go downhill. After reading the first book I was so excited for the next two. I thought the second one was okay, but I was severely disappointed with the third book and in particular the ending. It was hard for me to pick up this book after how disappointing the third book was. Here’s where it gets better, I am very glad I chose to read this book. This book has redeemed the series for me, I think it is well written and has a very interesting plot. I also thought that reading this book explained a lot about some of the characters and outcomes in the original series. I also really liked the integration of the character Tigris, who is also in the third book. So, while I was exceptionally disappointed with the waste of such a good plot in the third book of the Hunger Games series, I thought this book was very redeeming and definitely worth your time.
