February, the month of love, and its highlight holiday, Valentine’s Day have now passed. For many people, Valentine’s Day is a time to tell a special someone about how much you love them – whether they already know it or if this is the time when you finally confess undying love. This may mean buying them flowers, chocolates, or writing a card.
However, the unfortunate truth is that many people will not express their affection as openly on any other day of the year. Many people will simply wait for holidays to remind those around them how absolutely loved they are. Is that right? To only show your true feelings on a specific day just because it’s a holiday? I don’t think so. After all, when you love somebody, you love them always and forever. When you love somebody, you are constantly left admiring their kindness and compassion.
Today I simply hope that you do one thing: spread a little bit of love. Sure, it’s not always necessary to show your love as extravagantly as on Valentine’s Day, but you are always able to light up somebody’s day with something simple. This may mean shooting them a text, asking about their day, or complementing their sweater.
While grand shows of affection like on Valentine’s Day are always fun, it may even be more important to show your affection a little bit every single day. There are a million small ways to show the love you have for people. And we are lucky to live in a world where there are so many people to love; friends, family, and many others. Make sure they know that you care for and appreciate them.
And here is a little love letter, from me to you: always remember how loved you are and that there are people everywhere you think that you are special, lovable, and irreplaceable. You are always loved. ♥️
