This year’s spelling bee was very exciting! All of our 5th-8th grade spellers did so well. Abhay Ravulapati and our winner Swaksh Udupa went head to head in a spelling battle! They even ran out of words! Here are some words from our top two spelling bee students:

Abhay Ravulpati – “I won the 5th and 6th grade spelling bee, and I like doing the spelling bee.I felt nervous the whole time and I got out on the world cephalopod.” 

Swaksh – “I’ve been doing the spelling bee since 5th grade, and I won the spelling bee when I was in 5th grade and now I won 8th grade.” One of the words I won on was acetaminophen. When I won I felt happy and surprised. I asked what his tactic was for winning, and he said:  “I practiced every night.”

All of the 2023 – 2024 spelling bee contestants worked so hard and did their absolute best! Good job dragons and congratulations to Swaksh as he goes onto the next phase of the spelling bee!
