Josh Michaels is recovering from a recent breakup when a neighbor abandons a pregnant dog at this house. Josh soon realizes the dog Lucy is pregnant. With no dog experience and no idea what to do, Josh calls the shelter. Determined to do the best for these puppies he meets Kerri. His life becomes chaotic as he juggles trying to get the dogs adopted before Christmas while falling for Kerri.
