For those of you who have been following the story of Ms. Moskoff, our 6th grade Language Arts teacher, as she tries to get a hedgehog, there is an update – and this one is a lot more optimistic. After people found out about how Ms. Moskoff had been scammed out of a hedgehog (and the money she paid for it), there were people who really felt like they wanted to help – and they did! Many people gave support, but one person very generously offered to provide money for Ms. Moskoff to buy another hedgehog! With much research, Ms. Mosoff found colorfulquills.weebly.com, a website that looked trustworthy and, honestly, the opposite of a scam. This website did not request any odd fees – nor did it ship its hedgehogs. It only sold its hedgehogs in person. The breeder is in Colorado Springs – and Ms. Moskoff was able to purchase a hedgehog!
Many people were able to see the hedgehog in person on November 17th when he made a feature in the classroom. At the time, he only had what most referred to as his “rapper name”: Lil Hedgie. There is officially a name for this cute guy! The name of this long awaited class pet is… Peter Quill! A royal name for a royal hedgehog named by Ms. Moskoff’s advisory!
He will be officially joining our school community as a class pet after winter break. Curious individuals are able to email Ms. Moskoff at [email protected] to arrange to visit Peter Quill after break!
