November means we are celebrating Thanksgiving in so many different communities! Give thanks to your favorite people with a gift of homemade, ready to eat, mashed potatoes. See the recipe down below.
Ingredients
Gold potatoes
2-3 cloves of garlic
Butter
Milk
Cream cheese
Fine sea salt
Choice of toppings (cloves, etc.)
Instructions
Cut potatoes into small pieces (your choice to leave the skins on or not).
Boil the potatoes until soft.
In a separate pan, melt your butter with a splash of milk and two teaspoons of fine sea salt.
Once potatoes are soft, drain the water from the stockpot and return the potatoes to the hot pot, and then place the stockpot back on the hot burner, turning the heat down to low. Using two oven mitts, carefully hold the handles on the stockpot and shake it gently on the burner for about 1 minute to help cook off some of the remaining steam within the potatoes. Then remove the stockpot entirely from the heat.
Using your preferred mixer, mash the potatoes to desired consistency.
Mix butter mixture in with the mashed potatoes.
Add desired seasonings and enjoy!
