Claudia Goldin has been awarded the Nobel Economic Sciences Prize for her work in finding drivers of the gender gap. She created the first fully in depth and truthful account of women’s earnings and participation in the economy over several centuries, bringing a better understanding of why women are at a disadvantage in the labor market and how to help.
