Saturday, February 14, 2022, there was a robotics competition at Flagstaff Academy. Team 99131K Optimus Prime consists of seventh graders Elyse Prestopnik, Charlie Danko, and Diya Mehta. They got 6th place in qualifying, and got to the Semi-Finals. They got the Design Award, which might let their team advance to the State competition. Team 99131E the Broken Androids consists of the Flagstaff students Rahul Agarwal, Abhay Ravulapati, Oliver, and Darragh Bennett. They made it to the quarterfinals and placed 17th overall. The other teams didn’t give any information about how they did in the competition, so we don’t know how they did overall. Congratulations to all the teams that got awards and advanced far in the competition!
