NOTES: Litmus paper is paper stained with litmus which is used to indicate the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. Blue litmus paper turns red under acid conditions, and red litmus paper turns blue under alkaline conditions. 

To make Litmus Paper, you will need:

• Jar
• Paper Towels
• Head of Red Cabbage
• Grater 
• Saucepan
• Strainer

Instructions:

1. Grate half of the head of the red cabbage into a saucepan and add one cup of water with the help of an adult.
2. Boil the cabbage for 15 minutes.
3. Let the cabbage juice cool.
