“Percy Jackson” by Rick Riordan follows the story of a Greek demigod named Percy. One day he is attacked by his “demon math teacher”. He takes a trip with his mom and discovers that his best friend Grover is actually a satyr and he is being chased by an age-old monster: the Minotaur. While fighting it, his mom is killed, and he discovers a summer camp for demigods like him. He must make friends, battle his inner emotions, and discover if he can uncover his past secrets and clear up his future. In my opinion, this is an amazing book for ages 8-12, but I still love it as a 13 year old and I know I will love it for the rest of my life.
