In the 2021 Olympic events there were a total of 339 medal events! USA got 113 medals, 39 of those were gold medals. USA now has 2,636 total medals. In the men’s soccer gold medal match the Brazil men’s team beat Spain 2 – 1 in extra time! In the women’s league Canada took the gold, Sweden with silver, and USA with bronze. In swimming Calab dressel has 5 gold medals, he won them both in the Tokyo 2021 olympics. Katie Ledecky now has 10 medals, 7 gold and 2 silver. In softball the USA women’s team won silver. They lost to their rivals, Japan. The USA women’s team won gold in 3×3 basketball. And they got gold in basketball. The USA men’s team got gold in the basketball finals. Allyson  Felix competed in her 4th olympic games. She added 2 medals to her collection, she now has 9 medals. Noah Lyles has competed in 1 Olympic game, and he got 1 medal this year. Noah has 1 medal in total, a bronze from the 2021 olympics. After Simone Biles dropped out of the competition, Suni Lee took the spotlight. In womens we got 2 gold, 2 bronze, and 2 silver.
