A Polish institution has officially classified your common house cat as an “invasive alien species.” Wojciech Solarz entered it into a database with nearly 1,800 other species and was not prepared for the response he received. Cat lovers everywhere were against him, saying that there is absolutely no way to justify it. Solarz did not agree. According to him, cats met every criteria to be considered an “invasive alien species”. Cats kill so many species of birds and mice that they are causing issues with biodiversity.
